Research

Each of you is to provide an original and relevant link for this novel, with a brief description of what can be found on that site.
It does not have to be directly to do with the novel, but can be a link to a site you feel could give new readers some more insight.

I found this link whilst browsing the internet: http://www.bookbrowse.com/reading_guides/detail/index.cfm?book_number=1075
On this website, there are nine questions, which helped me think more deeply about the book. By answering a few, I got the beginnings of a topic to write about on this blog. This website will give readers more of an insight into the book. If anyone needs assistance in answering some questions, this website will give you some food for thought.

I found this link by chance as I was looking on wikipedia and accidentally clicked the random article button and what should popup but this page...scary eh?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Across_the_Nightingale_Floor
Although this is a wikipedia link the page provides an up to date outline of the story but unfortunatly gives away the ending.

Also thanks The Big Ben for the website. It proved to be very useful in deeper thinking about the book.

I followed a few separate links to find this page:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tales_of_the_otori

Not only does this link speak about Across the Nightingale Floor, it talks about the whole series, which includes a total of five books. It provides a map of the three countries of the Otori; a summary of the trilogy that we are studying; an in-depth analysis of all the characters to appear in all five books; information about the three clans in the series (Otori, Hidden and Tribe) plus a chronology and genealogy of the clans and characters.

Even though it's not a site in itself, this Wikipedia page on the successful series is informative and easy to understand.

This is a review I found while surfing the net. I does not give away the ending but is just an outline of the setting and main ideas of the book

This website has details of the different classes of people and what their role was.
Note where women are, their status and which men could order them
